We are pleased to be offering today this gorgeous extra tall multi-spindle tiger sawn oak rocker from the turn of the century (1900’s) in professionally restored condition. It is a gorgeous rocker with multiple spindle back, solid multi-turn tiger sawn oak posts, extra tall back that is all original including the stick and balls. When we were sanding the chair, we realized that there are two spindles that have been knocked out somewhere along the line. I do not know if it was from the factory or done after the fact. We discussed as a crew and decided that the spacing gives it added charm and character. It has been meticulously taken apart, sanded, glued, stained, multiple coats of satin sheen sanding sealer lacquer and multiple coats of satin lacquer applied on top with hand rubbed finishes in between. You are getting one gorgeous rocking chair that is ready for the next century. The chairs is 26 inches wide across the arms, 19 inches deep at the seat., 48 inches tall at the natural position, 28 inches high to the arm and 19 inches high to the seat. The chair has also been reupholstered with a foam cushion seat so that it is all ready to go into the parlor or nursery for years of carefree use.
