SOLD Oak Carved Morris Chair with Lion Heads for Arms
We are pleased to be offering today this turn of the century (1900s) tiger sawn oak early refinished adjustable back Morris chair in really nice condition. The cushions are gone, which is normal. They are very easy to replace. This particular Morris chair has a metal support frame underneath. It has seven multi-turn oak spindles to hold up each arm. The arms are all cutout shapely. The mechanism on the back does not require a rod as it has a cast iron adapter for four different positions. It has been refinished about 20-30 years ago in a light to medium oak stain finish. This set of lion heads are griffins as they have the tall mane underneath the large mouth with fancy wings. The overall size is 28 inches wide, 28 inches deep, 25 inches high to the arm and 42 inches high to the back in the upright position. It has shapely cutout carved legs with an applied molding in the center. It is a nice looking chair. Shipping starts at $225 for a driveway delivery in our normal area which is New England. Please contact us prior to purchase with your zip code to confirm what it would cost you if outside of New England for shipping.
