SOLD Oak Lion Head Morris Chair Victorian
We are pleased to be offering today this wonderful tiger sawn oak lion head cabriole carved front leg with a carved skirt adjustable height back Morris chair that dates from the 1890s to 1900s. It was refinished by the previous owner years ago and they also had cushions made. It has a spring suspension on the seat and a foam cushion on top. They made an unusual dome top cushion for the back. It looks okay, just odd. The back is adjustable, tiger sawn oak construction, curved splats underneath both arm supports, detail step back carved front leg and solid oak arm that ends in a detail lion face. The overall size is approximately 29 inches wide, 30 inches deep, 19 inches high to the seat, 25 inches high to the arm and the height to the four level adjustable back when it is in the upright position is 38 inches high. It is a great looking chair. We love to buy these and they are getting harder and harder to find. Shipping starts at $185 for a driveway delivery in our normal area which is New England. Outside New England it will change, so please contact us prior to purchase with your zip code to obtain a quote for outside of New England for shipping.
