We are pleased to be offering today this beautiful solid oak fancy carved French style grandfather clock that was imported here from Belgium and dates from around the 1940s to 1950s. it is a great example as they are usually very plain. It has a carved raised panel door on the base, clam shell carving on the skirt, scroll French cabriole legs, scallop glass center door that reveals the weights and pendulum. We have it running right now and it seems to keep good time. However, we always recommend having the clock cleaned and adjusted upon arrival. The face is silver simulated applied carved with a silver back with brass numerals. I believe it is time only. The pendulum ticks backs and forth, but I don’t see a chime. It is solid oak, has triple weights and has removable oak panels on the sides to access the works. The overall size is approximately 20 inches wide, 12 inches deep on the base, 16 inches wide where the pendulum is, 10 inches deep where the pendulum is and the overall height is approximately 87 inches. It is a gorgeous clock that is hard to find in this kind of wood and condition. Shipping starts at $385 for a driveway delivery in our normal area.
