SOLD Mahogany French Victorian Hatbox Highboy Dresser
We are pleased to be offering this attractive French style hatbox dresser to you today. Dating from the 1890's, this is unique with its big French cast hardware handles, detailed, quality backsplash, serpentine front, ribbon mahogany, 5 serpentine large drawers, 4 small reverse curve drawers and a large hatbox door in the center. This chest of drawers maintains its original finish, and has carved columns down the sides and French style feet. The overall condition is very good. It is missing an escutcheon on the hatbox door and the bottom drawer. We will try to find one prior to shipping but cannot guarantee it. The dresser chest is heavy and nice quality. It is 41 inches wide, 21 inches deep, 56 inches high to the top of the chest, 7 inches high on the backsplash and 63 inches high to the top of the backsplash. It has all dove tail construction and is in the reddish-brown mahogany stain finish. Shipping starts at $325 for a driveway delivery in our normal New England delivery area.
