This two-piece mahogany dresser, or Chippendale ball & claw Philadelphia style highboy features a broken arch crown molded top and the original three flame torch finials. Dating from the 1940's, this highboy dresser has a dark reddish brown mahogany stain, and while It could use a real nice rub down, it’s a good looking piece. It looks like it was re-stained previously, and came right out of a Massachusetts home. It has the original Chippendale hardware, the fan shell carved drawers on the top and bottom and it is a two-piece unit as it should be due to quality. There are seven dovetail drawers on the top section and five dovetailed drawers on the bottom section. The overall size is 39 inches wide, 20 inches deep, 34 inches high on the base and the overall height is 81 inches. There are minor flaws of finish loss and a crack in one of the drawers on the face that was glued up and is a bit noticeable. The overall condition is pretty decent and would look fantastic in the home. It has the original hardware and finials.
