We are pleased to be offering this wonderful mahogany broken arch full bonnet top flame finial chest on chest Chippendale mahogany highboy dresser to you today. Dating from the 1930s to 1940s, this is a great piece that is being sold for way under the money. It is a two-piece section with the base looking like a low boy with high cabriole legs, ball and claw feet all the way around, clam shell carving in the center, Chippendale hardware and dove tail drawers. The top section has seven drawers and a full bonnet dust cover on top that is better than average quality. The finish is the old finish with normal nicks and dings from age. It is in the brown mahogany stain. It retains the original Chippendale hardware. All the crown molding is intact. The cabriole legs have been well cared for. The drawers are called lip drawers because they stick out a little bit over the opening and they have a bevel edge around them. It is missing one keyhole escutcheon and we will replace it if you remind us at the time of the sale. The overall size is 38 inches wide at the wideset point, 20 inches deep and 86 inches high to the top of the center finial. The clam shell carving is right into the solid drawer face front, so you know how high quality this piece is. Shipping starts at $365 for a driveway delivery in our normal New England delivery area. Outside the normal area will incur additional delivery charges. Please contact us prior to purchase with your zip code to obtain a quote for shipping outside of New England.
