SOLD Mahogany Chippendale Centennial Carved Arm Chair w/ Great Needlepoint
We are pleased to be offering today this wonderful centennial age ball and claw cabriole leg over carved wonderful city style Chippendale knuckle arm chair that dates from the 1880s era. It is a great chair with an outstanding needlepoint seat. Someone really out did themselves with this needlepoint. It is very picturesque with a scene of a gentleman in the center. The chair has been all glued up. It has been tinted down to a reddish brown stain. The chair has many nice qualities. It has elbows on the cabriole legs, carved knuckles on the arms, fan shell carving in the center of the skirt, detail ball and claw feet and a beautiful city style Chippendale back. The overall size is 23 inches wide, 18 inches deep, 41 inches high, 18 inches high to the seat and 27 inches high to the arms. This chair has so many uses.
