SOLD Antique Dining Chairs, 6 Mahogany Chippendale Carved Chairs w/Needlepoint
This set of six antique Chippendale Dining Chairs features solid mahogany construction, ball and claw feet, and carved elbows on the legs. These antique dining chairs are carved, city style Chippendale dining room chairs that date from the 1880s to 1890s. A beautiful set of dining chairs that consists of one master chair and five side chairs. They are in outstanding condition with only a couple of scuff marks on some of the knuckles on the legs; we will detail them out before shipping. They are original finish and are all tight. Look at the fabric on these high-quality chairs. I don’t believe the fabric is the same age as the chairs as they are in immaculate condition. The needlepoint has a light blue background with a colorful floral arrangement. It is beautiful against the dark reddish brown mahogany stain. The armchair has wonderful carved knuckles at the end of the arms, solid mahogany cut out center splat with a swoop style crested back. The side chairs are identical minus the arms. The armchair is 21 inches wide, 19 inches deep, 26inches wide across the arm, 20 inches high to the seat, 28 inches high to the arm and 42 inches high to the top of the chair. The side chairs are 20 inches wide, 18 inches deep, 20 inches high to the seat and 42 inches high to the top of the crest rail. This type of chair is rarely showing up. These would look fantastic around a Duncan Phyfe table or a mahogany ball and claw banquet table. We keep close to 250 tables in stock, so please let us know if you are looking for something.
