SOLD Antique Dining Room Chairs, Set of 6 Mahogany Chippendale Chairs

These six antique dining room chairs are in wonderful condition, dating from the 1880s Victorian era. These solid mahogany city style Chippendale dining chairs consists of 5 carved side chairs and one master armchair. They are all solid mahogany construction including the cutout splats in the back, and have carved elbows on the cabriole legs, clam shell carving on the mahogany skirt, striped seat, carved backsplash across the city style crest, and flared back legs. I am not sure who made these chairs, but they were high quality back in their day. The finish is all original, though the armchair has some finish wear on the very top for added charm and character. The seats are very usable and could use a light cleaning. The fabric can be easily replaced by popping the seats out, wrap the new fabric around the seat, staple it down and screw the seats back into the chair frame. The overall size of the armchairs is 23 inches wide on the seat, 20 inches deep, 19 inches high to the seat, 28 inches wide across the arms, 28.5 inches high to the arm, and 42 inches high to the carved backsplash. The side chairs are 19 inches wide, 17.5 inches deep, 19 inches high to the seat and 40 inches high to the crest rail. It is a great looking set of chairs that are tight and sturdy. There are a few lamination seams, but nothing that effects the structure. You are getting all six chairs for one money.
