SOLD Four Piece Burl Walnut Victorian Parlor Set – Jenny Lind Heads

We are pleased to be offering today this beautiful four piece renaissance burl walnut and solid black walnut Victorian parlor set with Jenny Lind heads on all four pieces that date from the 1880s in beautiful condition.  Two of the chairs are in dark wine color crush velour.  One chair and the sofa is in a Victorian floral fabric.  The fabric is in good usable condition.  The floral fabric has some worn spots that is usable.  The front of the side chair is worn and there is some wear on the sofa.  The crush velour items don’t have the same wear as they were most likely done later on. The springs seem to be all tied up.  It is a nice set.  The wooden frames have multiple burl walnut panels with incise carving, carved crests and even incise carving on the flared legs on the front of all four pieces.  The seats are all round fronts.  Even piece has the Jenny Lind head on the fancy crest on the back.  The parlor chairs are 20 inches round, 37 inches high to the crest and 19 inches high to the seat.  Even the hip rests on the side chairs are burl walnut and incise carved.  The arm chair is stunning and beautiful with burl panels all over, incise legs and round seat.  The overall size of the arm chair is 29 inches wide, 25 inches deep, 44 inches high to the crest, 23 inches high to the arm and 15 inches high to the seat.  Last but not least is the three seat sofa. The Jenny Lind head on the sofa is the largest of all these pieces.  The sofa has a double curved or S shape front, incise carved legs, burl walnut panels, scroll carving and it is simply beautiful.  The overall size of the sofa is 65 inches wide across the arms, 23 inches deep, 45 inches high to the top of the crest, 24 inches high on the arms and 18 inches high to the seat.  The four piece set is beautiful and fantastic.  Shipping estimates starts at $395.00-$440.00 for a driveway delivery in our normal area which is New England.
