SOLD Flame Mahogany Game Table or Parlor Table Pre-Civil War
We are pleased to be offering today this pre-civil war flame mahogany fancier than unusual empire game table that dates from the 1850’s in original finish. It has the typical bow in the top when it is closed down. It isn’t a big deal as most people use them all open or with the top against a wall as a display piece. It has the rolled empire ogee skirt that sits upon an vase type eight sided column base that goes down into the traditional jelly roll foot. It has a crack in the post which we can detail out before shipping. There are a couple of chips missing on the skirt that we can detail out prior to shipping if we are reminded at the time of the sale. The flame mahogany top has a surface crack about 4.5 inches that is structurally sound. The overall size is 36 inches wide, 18.5 inches deep and 30 inches high. When it is opened to a game table it is 36 inches square and it makes into a wonderful card table or dinette table. The great thing about game tables is that they are three pieces of furniture in one. You can leave it closed up as a hall or entry way table, you can flip it open and spin it around to make a card or dinette table and you can put it against a wall and flip it up to use as a display piece for a vase or Tiffany lamp. Shipping starts at $185 for a driveway delivery in our normal area which is New England. Outside New England it will change, so please contact us prior to purchase with your zip code to obtain a quote for outside of New England for shipping.
