SOLD Empire Mahogany Game Table
We are pleased to be offering today this original finish flame mahogany empire solid top game table that dates from the 1850s era. It came out of a home and is in as found condition. It has a little cup to the top, a few chips on the veneer on the base that is easy to touch up and it has the typical repair on the two hinges on the back where someone let the table open up to fast. It is in the typical dark mahogany finish. It has an ogee molded skirt that is unusual. It has cylinder base with a cross grain flame mahogany design that goes down into a ball foot platform base. Finally you an open the top and spin it around to give a great place to play bridge, cribbage, chess or board game. It could even be used as a small dinette table. The overall size is 36 by 18 by 31 when it is closed up. When you open it up it becomes 36 inches square. The storage compartment underneath has been replaced with a piece of lauan and we will stain it to match if you remind us at the time of the sale.
