We are pleased to be offering today this beautiful pre-civil war era flame mahogany empire window bench that dates from the 1850s to 1860s. It is a fantastic looking bench that came out of a mansion in Stowe, Vermont. The house dated from the 1850s and is the same age as the bench. We purchased a wide variety of high quality furniture out of the estate. The fabric is old and faded a bit, but there are no rips. The flame mahogany empire frame is gorgeous. The overall size is 40 inches across the seat, 44 inches wide across the back, 24 inches deep, 30 inches high to the hand carved crest and 18 inches high to the seat. It is in fantastic condition for being over 160 years old in original finish. Shipping starts at $225 for a driveway delivery in our normal area which is New England.
