SOLD Carved Victorian Walnut Writing Desk Library Table
We are pleased to be offering today this Victorian age heavily carved two drawer solid walnut library table writing desk that dates from the 1880’s. We have run this through out our professional restoration shop. We have stained it a beautiful medium walnut and multiple coats of satin sheen lacquer have been applied. The table has a wide ogee bevel edge. The table is 39 inches wide, 27 inches deep and 30.5 inches high. It has two hand cut dove tail drawers that are 10 inches wide by 15 inches long and 2.5 inches deep. Both drawers have carved dragon heads into the face and heavy swirly cast brass hardware. The legs are acanthus carved with fluted and turn block carvings with big floral designs carved into it. The table is then finished off in a dainty hairy paw toe nail carved solid walnut claw foot. The table has a bottom shelf for support and added style. The carving is even on the sides and the back so that it can be left in the middle of a room.
