We are pleased to be offering today this fantastic high end quality heavily carved tiger sawn oak original finish library table or writing desk that dates from the 1890s in beautiful original condition. It came out of a southern Maine estate. This table could be used as a library table, dinette table, writing desk or a large parlor table in an entrance way. The overall size is 60 inches wide, 36 inches deep and 30 inches high. IT has a carved gadroon edge on a multi-molded rectangular top that has stunning tiger sawn oak. It has flared trestle legs that the center stretcher is close to 7 inches thick and solid oak heavily carved all over. The only thing I can see wrong with this is that one piece of carving is missing on the end of the heavily carved cut out base. You really have to study it to tell as there is so much carving you get mesmerized. It is a great table that has surface scratches on the top.
