We are pleased to be offering today this most unusual Victorian age solid tiger sawn oak swivel tilting office chair that dates from the 1890’s in the old refinished condition. Someone refinished this a long time ago. It is comical as someone spent a lot of time forging out two metal braces to support the back instead of gluing it with clamps and dowels. It was a lot of added work but it is tight and sturdy. They appear to be done professionally as it is a good job. The chair has a curved back, press back design in the center, big thick stylish spindles, one piece solid arm, scooped out seat, four legged base, goes up and down, tilts back and forth and has a nice patina. The arms are worn from use. It almost looks like they must have rested their arms lot. The overall size is 20 inches wide, 19 inches deep, 40 inches high to the chair back, 27 inches high to the arm and 19 inches high to the seat. Keep in mind it will go up and down. Shipping is $145 to anywhere in the continental USA.
