SOLD Victorian Carved Oak Bowtie Lawyers Bankers Office Swivel Chair
We are pleased to be offering today this wonderful antique solid oak Victorian age tilt and swivel lawyers/bankers office chair that dates from the 1890s. We brought this into the shop to sand it down, apply stain, replaced the seat to match the bowtie on the back of the chair, multiple spindle curved back with a total of 17 tapered spindles, cut out fancy crest with a bowtie beaded center piece, fluted grooved posts that match the rolled arms and all rests upon a four legged base that has reproduction wood wheel castors. The chair will go up and down approximately 3 inches. The overall size of the chair is 21 inches wide, 19 inches deep on the seat, 42 inches high to the back as pictured, 26 inches high to the arm and 17 inches high to the seat. It is a great chair that is all tight and sturdy with a beautiful patina. The chair will be shipped in two pieces where the base will need to be screwed back on. It is a simple process that saves a lot on shipping. Shipping starts at $145 for a driveway delivery in our normal area which is New England.
