We are pleased to be to be offering today this beautiful solid mahogany heavily carved fluted spindle ball and claw desk chair or possibly piano chair that dates from the 1880s to 1890s. It is in wonderful condition. We have re-glued the entire chair to make sure it is nice and tight for the buyer. There was a crack in the back that we have touched up to insure many years of carefree use and the seat has a faint line in it but it is all tight and sturdy. The chair is nice with a carved crested back, fluted and reeded back with outside posts, a saddle seat with all kinds of carvings and flared fluted legs that end in a brass talon foot. It is a great looking chair that is 17 inches across, 17 inches deep on the seat, 39 inches high to the back and 17 inches high to the seat. It has the normal nicks and dings you would expect from a piece of this age. Shipping starts at $65 for a driveway delivery in our normal area.
