SOLD Antique Victorian Triple Door Burl Walnut Bookcase Bookshelf
We are pleased to be offering today this triple burl walnut glass door step back breakfront bookcase dating from the 1870s in the old original finish showing minor wear and tear. It is a hard-to-find burl walnut trim triple door bookcase in a lovely size. Other than an overcoat applied years ago, it is all original. It has three glass doors, three shelves on the two outside doors, four shelves in the center door, shelves are fully adjustable and picture frame dove tail drawers in the base. The overall size is 66 inches wide, 21 inches deep, 58 inches tall on the outside, and 63 inches high in the center. The outside door shelves are 8.25 inches deep. The middle shelves are 11.75 inches deep. We need to make a small molding on the left-hand side of the bookcase that is missing. The baseboard needs to be replaced on the right-hand side because it is rough. It does not have a key. The finish is all original except for the varnish overcoat years ago. A couple of the escutcheons were missing, and one was broken, so we replaced all three. Shipping starts at $395 for a driveway delivery in our normal New England delivery area.
