We are pleased to be offering today this beautiful original finish fancy carved burl walnut triple breakfront glass door bookcase that dates from the 1870s to 1880s. It came right out of a home in southern Maine. The overall condition is really nice. One of the wooden knobs on the tea cup drawer fronts at the base of the cabinet is missing. It comes with the original keys and original finish. The burl walnut is all intact. There are no cracks or chunks of wood missing. The biggest issue is on the back that has shrunk up over the years and there are a few cracks you can see through the maple background, and on the outside right hand panel there is a crack but the bookcase itself is all nice. It has triple drawers in the front, burl panels on all the drawers, burl panels on the sides of the drawers, three glass doors are all separate compartments, two adjustable shelves on the outsides, three adjustable shelves in the center compartment, burl trim and carved cornices on all the sections. The overall size is 72 inches wide. The two outside sections are 14 inches deep and 59 inches high. The center door section is 16 inches deep and 68 inches high. The inside dimensions where the shelves are on the outside are 19 by 8.75. The middle shelf section is 27 inches wide by 11 inches deep on the inside. It is a wonderful looking Victorian item from the Civil War Era. The top has a rolled front dome top. Shipping starts at $365 for a driveway delivery in our normal area which is New England.
