SOLD Antique Victorian Set of 5 Unusual Carved Chairs with Birds
We are pleased to be offering today this unusual set of carved press back dining chairs that date from the 1890s to 1990s. We have had thousands of press back chairs over the 50+ years, but I can’t recall the last time I had a set with birds carved in the corners of each back. It is a set of five that was refinished approximately 30 years ago and has held up well. There are birds carved in each corner, big center medallion, multi-turn back spindles, turn posts, turn cross stretchers, turn legs and solid seats. The overall condition is good. The overall size is 17.5 inches wide, 17 inches deep, 41 inches high to the turn finial post and 18 inches high to the seat. Other than one chair that has a chunk missing out of the front by the spindle that we will detail out prior to shipping if you remind us at the time of purchase. You are getting the set of 5 for one money. Shipping starts at $285 for a driveway delivery in our normal New England delivery area. Outside the normal area will incur additional delivery charges, which could add on especially if you're on the West Coast.
