We are pleased to be offering today this wonderful Victorian sofa that has been reupholstered in the last few years in a beautiful and expensive fabric. The fabric is an antique beige background with colorful floral designs and raised brocade leaves. It cost someone a lot of money to reupholster this and it is gorgeous against the frame. The sofa frame is either black American walnut or a dark brown mahogany as it is dark in the warehouse, but I am guessing it is walnut. The sofa dates from the 1880s era. The overall condition is real nice being tight and sturdy. There a one little chip on the edge of the couch which we will touch up prior to purchase. This sofa will arrive ready to use for years to come. The finish is the original dark walnut stain finish. The hand carved center crest and the whole back is twisted molded that would remind you of a thick rope. The couch has cabriole legs, carved knuckle arms, serpentine front with a center medallion raised crest in the bottom of the trim. The overall size is approximately 70 inches at the widest part, 60 inches on the inside of the arms, 29 inches deep, 40 inches high, 24 inches high on the arms and 17 inches high to the seat. Please confirm our shipping price prior to purchase because our normal ship to zone would be $395, but the further from New England you get the higher the shipping price.
