We are pleased to be offering today this gorgeous beautiful Victorian age sofa in unbelievable condition. It is solid walnut with wonderful roses and hand carved flowers on top. It has a delicate frame that is all tight and sturdy. The previous owner had it reupholstered in a raised brocade fabric. It has antique silver/beige background against a dark red floral and antique green leaves. It is an open arm sofa. The cushion is thick foam, and it is removable. The sofa is unbelievable condition dating from the 1870s to 1880s with the four-cabriole dainty carved legs in the front, opens arms, carved details on the back frame and it is simply amazing. The overall size is 60 inches wide, 55 inches wide on the inside of the arms, 20 inches deep on the seat, 41 inches high to the detail carved crest, 25 inches high to the arms and 17 inches high to the seat cushion. The finish is all original on the wooden frame that has aged to a gorgeous patina over the 140 years to a warm amber glow. I am very impressed with the quality, condition, and beauty of this piece.
