We are pleased to be offering today this wonderful solid black walnut Victorian age civil war era reupholstered sofa dating from the 1860s to 1880s era. It has a wonderful carved grape cluster on the top of the swoop crest, hand carved grapes on each arm, cabriole legs and a serpentine skirt. The fabric has been replaced along the way with an antique beige that is all buttoned and pleated. It must have been done in the last 10 years or so as it is in lovely condition. The sofa is all tight and sturdy. The overall size is 68 inches wide on the outside of the arms, 48 inches wide on the inside of the arms, 28 inches deep, 38 inches high to the crest, 23 inches high to the arms and 16 inches high to the seat. It is a great looking sofa with a great patina on the wood frame. Shipping starts at $325 for a driveway delivery in our normal New England delivery area. Outside the normal area will incur additional delivery charges, which could add on especially if you're on the West Coast.
