SOLD Antique Victorian Marble Top Half Commode Night Stand
We are pleased to be offering today this beautiful Victorian ogee bevel edge white and gray grained marble top nightstand that dates from the 1870s. It is a great piece. It has picture frame molded hand cut dove tail drawer on top with a burl back panel and aa wonderful hand carved acorn pull on the drawer. The bottom has a picture frame panel door with a burl walnut panel in the center. It has an applied bracket foot base, panel sides and moldings all the way around. The white and gray grained marble top is original to the piece. The marble has a few minute chips on the edge of the top that might be able to sand down so they aren’t so noticeable. The hand carved pull is original. When the door is opened, it reveals a single shelf interior. There was a crack in the door frame that someone fixed a long time ago and I am not even sure that it will show in the photos, but I wanted to let you know. It is all tight and sturdy. The overall size is 18 inches wide, 16 inches deep and 31 inches high. Shipping starts at $145 for a driveway delivery in our normal area which is New England.
