SOLD Antique Victorian Marble Top Half Commode Nightstand
We are pleased to be offering today this wonderful civil war era solid black walnut hand carved with race track molding white and gray grained marble top commode that dates from the 1860’s to 1870’s in original condition. It comes with race track oval molding on the drawer and panel door. It has the hand carved handle and hand cut dove tail. It has the original knob on the base that opens to reveal a shelf interior. The white and gray grain marble top has aged over the years. It is very flat looking not shiny. IT is in overall condition condition with minor surface imperfections. The overall size is 18.5 inches wide, 16 inches deep and 29.5 inches high. Victorian half commodes are hard to find as these are the first pieces people looked for in the 1970’s. It is a great commode. Shipping inside New England would be $85. Shipping outside New England would be $125.
