SOLD Antique Victorian Marble Top Half Commode / Nightstand
We are pleased to be offering this Victorian marble top cookie corner half commode or nightstand to you today. Dating from the 1880s in original condition, this piece has a darkened finish, and wonderful carved columns coming down both sides that terminates in a bun foot. It has burl walnut panels on the drawer and on the door, which opens to expose a single shelf interior. There is an ogee bevel edge marble top with cookie corner on all four corners. The sides are all paneled, and finish molded. It is really a great the piece, as it is a little larger than normal at 21 inches square and 31 inches high. This exhibits a great classic look from 150 years ago, with only the normal nicks and dings and is in great shape for the age.
