SOLD Antique Victorian Ladies Walnut Cylinder Desk – Burl Walnut, Brass Gallery
Offered today is this Victorian ladies walnut cylinder desk dating from the 1890s. The burl walnut cylinder front features a burl panel on the actual roll, and when opened reveals a cubby hole interior with drawers and a pull-out writing surface. The writing surface still has its old worn felt top, which could be replaced easily enough if you decide to do it.
The desk retains all of its original hardware and even its dainty brass gallery along the top — a detail we’re always pleased to see still intact after more than 130 years. It has a triple drawer front, paneled sides, and stands in its original finish with normal nicks and dings from age.
