SOLD Antique Victorian Burl Walnut Glass Door Bookcase

We are pleased to be offering today this gorgeous burl walnut, black walnut ebonized finish double drawer and double glass door bookcase dating from the 1880s era. This cabinet came right out of a home in eastern Massachusetts. It is a gorgeous bookcase with burl on the sides. It has a step back base, heavy crown molding and an ebonized finish against the medium amber walnut color. It has two extra tall glass doors above two hand cut dove tail drawers with teardrop pulls. The escutcheon on the drawers all there. There is a small piece of molding missing on the left-hand door, that I would recommend removing from the right-hand door so that they match. However, that is up to the buyer. It has burl walnut trim across the oval top doors, burl walnut coming down the columns, corbels are burl and there is incise carving. The ebonized finish has faded over the years but the patina is beautiful. The bookcase comes with four fully adjustable shelves that are 14 inches deep. The size of the bookcase from the base is 51 inches wide, 19 inches deep and 74 inches high. The back panel has shrunk over the years. We will make sure it is all intact prior to shipping. The entire bookcase can come apart for ease of movement throughout your space. There is a small piece of wood missing on the back where it must have been put up against a wall molding. This has four adjustable shelves for ample storage. Shipping starts at $425 for a driveway delivery in our normal New England delivery area. Outside the normal area will incur additional delivery charges, which could add on especially if you're on the West Coast.
