SOLD Antique Walnut Bookcase, Victorian Burl Walnut Double Door Bookcase
This is one of the cutest smaller size antique Victorian bookcases that I have seen in a long time. Dating from the 1880's, this came out of a home in upstate New York, and it is in the original finish. It has two adjustable shelves behind the original wavy glass doors, burl panel trims going down both posts, wonderful detail carved tops on the molded doors, ogee bevel edge across the top, and it is all solid walnut except for the burl walnut accent pieces. This antique bookcase has picture frame molded drawers on the base and an applied bracket base. The size is 48 inches wide, 14.5 inches deep on the base, 12 inches deep on the bookcase section, 13 inches high on the drawer section and 45 inches tall overall. This is such a cute piece. There is some finish loss on the top where someone sat something and the normal nicks and dings. This is a great Victorian bedroom bookcase or child size. I have never seen one this size before. This is a two-piece cabinet where the top comes off the base. Shipping starts at $285 for a driveway delivery in our normal New England delivery area.
