This antique slant top desk is what we refer to as a cowboy desk here in the business. We used to get these occasionally back in the day, but you almost never see them anymore! We were fortunate to find this one, it dates from the 1890s Victorian era. It is in the original untouched finish, and features beading and carvings, a fancy carved top, fluted posts to hold up the shelf support, a mirror in the background, double doors with a dove tail center drawer, flip down lid to reveal a cubby hole interior and then the fancy cut out stick and ball details. The original brass hardware sure is pretty, too, and appears to be all intact. The overall size is 31 inches wide, 15 inches deep and 68 inches high. There’s an old repair in the carved top, but we detailed it out, and you never would have even known it was there if we didn’t mention it. There are a couple of cracks in the side panel on the right, and other than that and the typical nicks and dings that come with age, this is a really pretty piece!

Measuring 30.5” across the front, 15” deep, 69” tall, and it’s about 27.5” from the floor to the writing surface when it’s dropped down.
