SOLD Antique Set of 12 Mahogany Ball and Claw Dining Chairs

We are pleased to be offering today this set of 12 matching heavily carved mahogany dining chairs that date from the last 30 years or so. It is a really nice-looking set that consists of 2 armchairs and 10 side chairs. We took them in on trade on a large carved oak set. They said that they paid quite a bit of money for these chairs as these are high quality. They are in a dark brown mahogany stain. They are solid mahogany construction. The seats are an antique gold brocade fabric that appears to be in good condition, but I am sure there are soil marks here and there. The chairs are heavy, carved back, thick carved center splat, cabriole front legs, ball and claw foot, and a clam shell carving in the center. The chairs are tight and sturdy. There is some finish loss to the arms. The overall size of the armchairs are 20 inches wide between the arms, 20 inches deep, 41 inches high to the chair back, 28 inches high to the arm and 19 inches high to the seat. The side chairs are 22 inches across the outside of the legs, 20.5 inches wide on the seat, 18 inches deep, 41 inches high to the chair back and 19 inches high to the seat. It is a great set of 12. If they were 50 years older, they would be $3450, but they are of that quality. You’re getting all 12 chairs for one money.
