We are pleased to be offering today this wonderful set of six solid mahogany ball and claw dining chairs that date from the 1890s in beautiful original condition. Someone has recovered the seats in a dark wine brocade fabric and had some padding added for extra comfort. The chairs have a Chippendale style back, cutout center splat, flared back leg, cabriole front leg with ball and claw foot, and solid H cross stretcher for extra strength. They have a dark reddish brown mahogany stain finish that was popular in the 1890s and is popular now. The set consists of five side chairs and one master armchair. The overall condition is nice original. The armchair is 25 inches wide across the outside of the arms, 20 inches wide across the seat, 20 inches deep, 39 inches high to the top of the chair back, 27.5 inches high to the arms and 20 inches high to the seat. The side chairs are 19 inches wide, 18 inches deep, 39 inches high to the chair back and 20 inches high to the seat. It is a great set of six. You are getting all six chairs for one money.
