This is a pair of walnut carved throne chairs dating from the 1930’s from France that someone has recently redone and reupholstered in a very expensive period style fabric. The fabric has a Prince of Wales design, with the lion, crown, castle and all, that looks great against the period hand rubbed walnut finished. The chairs are identical in style, with the big hairy claw feet, big bold cross turned spindle cross stretcher, big carved knuckles with flowers, and acanthus carving right up into the arms. The overall size is 26 inches across, 22 inches deep, 4 feet tall to the back, 28.5 inches to the arms, and 18 inches high to the seat. Overall, this is a really nice pair of chairs.
