This lovely multi-colored rug dates from the 1940s era, and was made by one of the most famous American rug-makers, Karastan. This is a Kirman model, with a wonderful extra multi-colored center medallion, with a beautiful burgundy background and gorgeous colors on the border. The fringe has been worn on both ends, which is normal for a rug of this age.
We got this from a home in Boston, and brought it in and ran the vacuum over it, and it’s just amazing. It’s 10x14, according to the original tag from the Karastan Company.
