We are pleased to be offering today this wonderful tiger sawn oak original finish four drawer standard size file cabinet that dates from the 1890s to 1900s.  It was made by the Library Bureau of Congress that was made famous for their office furniture.  This one came right out of a home in central Maine.  It has a large stain on the top of the left side panel  and scratches on the side panels.  This would be a great candidate for refinishing as we often refinish these.  We have been so busy we just haven’t had the time to get to this one yet.  If you would like a quote on refinishing, please contact us to discuss.  If you view our website, you can see  how gorgeous the refinished ones look. This one has all the original hardware. It has the original panels.  It is finished all the way around so it can stand in the middle of the room.  The knobs and rods are usually removed, but these ones are not functioning.  The overall size is 18  inches wide, 27 inches deep and 51.75 inches high.  The size of the drawers on the inside are 12 inches wide, 10 inches high on the face and 24 inches deep.  This particular model has the sliding brace on it with some of the original labels and wooden slides.  It is in nice original condition except for the scratches on the side and stain on the top side panel.  Please keep in mind that we do offer refinish services if you so desire.  Shipping starts at $275 for a driveway delivery in our normal area which is New England.  Outside New England it will change, so please contact us prior to purchase with your zip code to obtain a quote for outside of New England for shipping.
