SOLD Antique Oak Bedroom Set, Antique Victorian Horner Style Oak Bedroom Suite

We are pleased to be offering today this unbelievable tiger sawn oak heavily carved three piece oak bedroom set that dates from the 1890s in beautiful condition.  Take time to look at the pictures folks.  This three piece set comes with a full size bed, a gentleman’s tall chest with a wide bevel glass mirror and a large dresser with a large swivel mirror.  All of these pieces have angels carved in the posts, cupids, fleur-de-lis, leaf carvings, claw feet and an array of tiger sawn oak and veneer throughout the entire set.  The bed has a beautiful tiger sawn grain that is mesmerizing with acanthus carving along the outside board with angel faces carved into the posts that terminate in a detail hairy paw foot.  The tall chest comes with the same style and design.  The swivel bevel glass mirror has a carved crest on top that matches the headboard and the large dresser.  The tall chest has a wide bevel edge on the top and multi-drawers with hardware going down the face, large panel sides, acanthus carved posts in the base with angel faces on top of the posts and a detail claw foot.  The last piece is the large dresser that has the same style.  The only thing that is noticeable on this is that someone replaced the two handles on the bottom drawer.  I didn’t notice the first couple of times, so it blends well.  It has a oversize swivel mirror on top.  It has a plate mirror, not a bevel so it has likely been replaced at one time.  The same shapely carved crest, cupids on the bottom post, detail claw feet and deep bold panel sides.  This large dresser has three drawers across the top and two large drawers underneath.  I am guessing about 30 years ago this set was refinished.  The bed is 81 inches high on the headboard, 40 inches high on the footboard and 60 inches wide.  The inside dimension is 54 inches by 75 inches long.  You can put a queen size metal adapter frame to turn this into a queen size bed if you desire and we can give you a quote if desired.  The next item is the dresser that is 54 inches wide, 25 inches deep and 33 inches high to the base.  The mirror is 45 inches tall for a combined height of 79 inches.  The tall chest is 40 inches wide, 23 inches deep, 46 inches high to the dresser top, 35 inches high on the mirror only and 79 inches high overall.  You are getting all three pieces for one money.  It is a very high quality bedroom set that we were fortunate enough to find in a local estate in this as found condition.  Shipping starts at $695 for a driveway delivery in our normal area which is New England.  Please contact us prior to purchase with your zip code to confirm what it would cost you if outside of New England for shipping.
