SOLD Antique Nightstand, Victorian Renaissance Marble Top Half Commode
This beautiful antique nightstand is renaissance style featuring burl walnut, a heavily carved cookie corner, marble top, and is one of the better ones we have had in many years. It came out of a large estate auction, and has been all polished up. The satin sheen finish has a nice glow that highlights the burl walnut accent trims, pillars, and carvings. This beautiful renaissance commode dates from the 1870s to 1880s, and has a cookie corner top with a molded bevel edge in the rose quartz color, which is hard to find. This antique nightstand has a multiple molded picture frame dove tail drawer. It has a bird’s eye maple interior on the drawer as secondary wood. There is a crack down the center on the face, doesn’t go all the way through, is the only negative on this gorgeous piece of renaissance Victorian. It has the original hand cut dove tail drawer with the original knob. It has the key to lock the door that when open reveals a single shelf interior. The overall size is 20 inches wide, 17.5 inches deep and 30 inches high overall. It is a fantastic piece of Victorian that is much better than average.
