This gargantuan antique roll top desk is spectacular in both size and style! Dating from right around 1900, this rare 72" long desk is a true find. We very rarely ever find 72 inch wide desks like this!! It somehow manages to balance excess and simplicity in one gorgeous piece. Featuring curved drawer fronts, raised panels all the way around, dovetail drawers, detailed brass escutcheon and key, pull out writing trays, full cubby and drawer interior, and original handles. This fantastic antique roll top desk was most likely made by either Derby or Standard. It has been completely and professionally restored in a stunning dark reddish brown mahogany stain, with multiple coats of applied satin sheen lacquer. There are an impressive FOURTY ONE raised panels all the way around the desk, including on the back, so you can place the desk in the middle of the room and it will look great from all sides.
Measuring 72 inches wide, 38 inches deep, 50 inches tall, and 31 inches to the writing surface. The leg space measures an impressive 34 inches wide and 26 inches high.
