We are pleased to be offering today this civil war era flame mahogany hand rose carved crest empire sofa that dates from the 1850s to 1860s. Someone has reupholstered this in the last few years in an antique raised brocade dark and light green accents with a beige background. The flame mahogany is outstanding. It has ribbon mahogany across the serpentine front, wonderful carved detail forearms, flame mahogany swooping back, hand rose carved crest in the center of the back and is in outstanding condition. One of the back legs, which is a simple leg, came off and can be popped back on. It can be done prior to shipping, but wanted to mention it. The overall size is 80 inches wide on the outside of the arms, 60 inches wide on the inside of the arms, 24 inches deep, 34 inches high to the top of the crest,
