SOLD Antique Federal Mahogany Game Card Table **REDUCED PRICE**
We are pleased to be offering today an early Federal style mahogany with flame mahogany accents game table from the Federal period of the 1840s to 1850s. It is a beautiful game table that came right out of this estate along with the Empire game tables. We have a great collection of furniture being offered. This particular table has a flame mahogany cylinder post, four carved Duncan Phyfe legs that terminate in a solid brass cap claw foot, a round corner multi-molded edge with a round corner molded skirt. The table has a tiny cup to the top where the top is warped a bit and has an old split in the top that isn't large but we wanted to let you know. The finish is worn. The overall size is 33 by 16.75 by 30 closed up. The overall size is 33 by 33 by 30 inches when it is opened up. The great thing about card tables is that it is three pieces of furniture in one. The first piece is a wall piece where you just put it against the wall to hold a vase or a statue. The second piece is where you flip the top up and lean it against the wall to create a lovely backdrop for an accent piece such as a bronze or Tiffany lamp. The third piece is when you flip the top up and spin it around to expose a storage compartment where you place a deck of cards, poker chips, etc to create a game table or a dining room table for four people. No matter how you choose to use it, it is a wonderful piece. This particular table could use a little bit of repair work and a restoration, which would be happy to quote if you desire the service. However, right now the table is just been lightly dusted and photographed at the estate.
