SOLD Antique Civil War Era Empire Game Table **REDUCED PRICE**
We are pleased to be offering today a wonderful Civil War era flame mahogany empire game table or card table that came out of this wonderful estate in central Maine. Along with numerous pieces of Victorian and empire and even some oak, this wonderful estate has given us close to 120 different items we are listing throughout the next few weeks. This particular item is a curl foot, tapered post, flame mahogany, round corner flip top empire game table that dates from the 1850s to 1860s. The size is 33 by 17 by 28. When you flip the top around and open it up it becomes 33 by 34 by 28. It is a nice little size game table or dining table. The great thing about card tables is that it is three pieces of furniture in one. The first piece is a wall piece where you just put it against the wall to hold a vase or a setting. The second piece is where you flip the top up and lean it against the wall to create a lovely backdrop for an accent piece such as a bronze or Tiffany lamp. The third piece is when you flip the top up and spin it around to expose a storage compartment where you place a deck of cards, poker chips, etc to create a game table or a dining room table for four people. No matter how you choose to use it, it is a wonderful piece. This table has not been oiled up or polished as it was pictured right at the estate, so a good polish would really brighten up the finish. The overall condition is nice. It has a little bit of damage on the wood where the hinge had popped out previously, but we can bring it back to our shop and fix it for an additional $40 if you so desire. We also have the ability to completely strip and refinish the table to bring out the flame mahogany of the table, if the buyer so desires for an additional charge, Shipping starts at $199 for a driveway delivery in our normal shipping area. Please contact us to discuss shipping as pricing varies on your location and type of service desired.
