This set of six antique dining room, chairs, features, tiger sawn oak construction, and date from the 1910s in beautiful original condition.
The grain is especially beautiful on the solid tiger sawn oak construction, flared back legs, tapered back legs, great cut-out center splat, and solid H cross stretcher. Four of these seats were reupholstered in a floral design fabric, and two of the chairs have the seat bottoms missing. This isn’t a problem, as we can easily cut out a sheet of plywood and add padding, all you have to do is add the fabric. There are many online tutorials that show the steps to replace the upholstery on chairs like this. It’s a great DIY project for a beginner.
