SOLD Antique Bedroom Set, Mahogany Acanthus Carved 5 PC Bedroom Suite

This Antique Carved Bedroom Set features a beautiful mahogany with acanthus carving on every piece and detail claw feet dating from the 1890s. We ran this through the shop to scuff, stain, and re-sprayed this antique bed set with multiple coats of satin sheen lacquer to help bring out all the color of the mahogany. This bedroom set is so stunning, and consists of a full-size bed, a nightstand with a drawer and door, an oversized multi-drawer dresser with a large mirror, a gentleman’s tall chest with a mirror and a lady’s vanity with a mirror. Every piece in this antique bed set has the same detailed clawfoot and the acanthus carved posts, even harps that hold the mirrors. It is a stunning set that is finished in a dark reddish black mahogany stain and is so beautiful. You are getting all five pieces in thie antique bedroom suite for one money. The size of the bed on the outside is 58 inches wide, 55 inches high on the footboard acanthus carved post, 36 inches high on the footboard shield, 60 inches high on the headboard post and 46 inches high on the headboard shield. The inside dimensions for mattress purposes are 54 by 75, so it takes a modern-day full-size box spring and mattress. The next item is the high-quality nightstand that is 17 inches wide, 17 inches deep and 35 inches high. It has a pull-out drawer on top, a space and a door underneath. It has acanthus carved dainty posts on both sides and terminates in a detailed claw foot. The next item is the extra-large dresser that is 48 inches wide, 24 inches deep, 36 inches high to the dresser base and 71 inches high to the top of the oversize mirror. The looking glass is 36 inches wide by 29 inches high. The mirror is in nice shape showing some age streaks, but overall good condition. The mirror swivels on threaded rods that hold it in place on the acanthus carved posts. It has two large drawers in the base and two smaller ogee molded front drawers that are all dovetailed. It has big bold acanthus carved posts and detailed claw feet. The next item is the lady’s vanity that is 38 inches wide, 21 inches deep, 52 inches high to the top of the mirror and 29 inches high to the base. It has a beautiful swivel mirror held together with threaded rods that go into the acanthus carved posts. The base has the acanthus carved posts and detailed claw feet like the rest of the set. The looking glass is 29 inches wide by 20 inches high. Finally, is the gentleman’s chest that is gorgeous measuring 38 inches wide, 21 inches deep, 49 inches high to the dresser base and 73 inches high to the top of the mirror. The size of the looking glass is 29 inches wide by 19 inches high. It has four large drawers under a two-drawer top and has the ogee molded front. It has the acanthus carved posts holding up the swivel mirror and a detail carved post on the base terminating in detail claw feet. The original knobs are all mahogany including the knobs on the swivel. There is nothing I can say about this antique bedroom set to impress you that the pictures can not show you.
