SOLD Antique Bedroom Set, French Flame Mahogany Carved 6 Piece Bedroom Suite

This beautiful six-piece Antique French Victorian Bedroom Set features flame-mahogany, satinwood, and inlay. It dates from the 1930s in original as found condition, and consists of a full-size bed, an eight-drawer tall chest, a fancy ladies kidney shape vanity with mirror, a five-drawer dresser with a carved mirror, a vanity bench and a triple drawer nightstand. This antique bedroom set is in a blond mahogany, with a beautiful light brown finish. The complete set has flame mahogany fronts, floral applied carvings and all the hardware is intact. The entire antique bed set is in wonderful original condition. The mirrors do show some age marks, which I love because it adds charm and character to the set. The back corner of the vanity top has a small area where the top veneer chipped off. It has a curved headboard that is quite unique. It has fancy acanthus carved legs, fluted columns coming down all the pieces, fancy brass hardware and all the brass knobs.

The overall size of the vanity is 52 inches wide, 20 inches deep at the deepest point and 31 inches high to the vanity base. The vanity mirror adds another 44 inches, but the mirror can slide up and down to fit your needs. The vanity has simulated drawers on the sides which are really doors that have drawers on the inside. The middle drawer has a fancy fleur-de-lis inlaid and is divided for make-up. The mirror looking glass is 25 inches wide by 33 inches tall. The space for your legs is 23 inches wide by 24 inches tall.

The tall chest has two large drawers on top, three center drawers with inlaid flame burl, two outside drawers have beautiful, recessed carving and three large drawers on the bottom with the bottom two being extra deep. It has panel sides and a multi-molded routed edge top. The overall size is 36 inches wide, 22 inches deep and 54 inches high. It is a stunning tall chest.

The full-size bed is 56 inches wide, 52 inches high on the headboard and 25 inches high to the footboard. It will fit a modern-day full-size mattress as it is 54 inches wide by 74 inches long on the inside for mattress purposes. It has flame mahogany and fancy carving. It has a curved headboard.

The chest is a five drawer with a big fancy mirror. It is 51 inches at the widest point, 23 inches at the deepest point, 35 inches high to the dresser base and the height to the top of the mirror is 77 inches high. Please keep in mind that the mirror can adjust up and down. The mirror is 25 inches wide by 33 inches high. It is a great looking chest with a serpentine front and all the hardware is intact.

The upholstered vanity bench has worn fabric, but the wood frame is very nice. It is a stylish piece. The overall size is 28 inches wide, 18 inches deep, 19 inches high to the seat and 22 inches high to the top of the back. It has fluted tapered legs with a cross stretcher that has a wonderful center finial.

The three-drawer nightstand. It is 17 inches wide, 15 inches deep and 30.5 inches high. Usually, the nightstands are pulled out and sold separately. This one is such nice quality it would sell for $425 all by itself.

This antique bedroom set is very heavy, as it was clearly made by a high-quality maker. You are getting a set consisting of a full-size curved headboard bed, five-drawer large carved dresser with fancy mirror, three drawer nightstand, vanity bench, eight-drawer tall chest and vanity with fancy mirror for one money. The overall condition is really nice with minor nicks and dings from normal use. Other than the silver spots on the mirrors, it is in great condition.
