SOLD Antique Victorian Walnut Marble Top Half Commode / Nightstand
This outstanding antique nightstand or half commode is a beautiful example of Victorian renaissance. As displayed in this high-quality antique marble top nightstand, dating from the 1880's, we sell a lot of commodes, and we rarely get one with a finished back like this one. It is a rare find, so please look at the photos to appreciate it. This antique marble top nightstand is all picture frame molded, incise carved with burl walnut trims, featuring picture frame molding on the hand cut dove tail drawer, birds eye maple drawer interior, burl walnut panel door opens to a middle-fixed shelf and look at the top! It has a picture frame molding around a T shape bevel edge white and gray grained marble top. It doesn’t get better than this. I am sure an overcoat was applied at one time as the finish is shinier than normal. The overall size is 21 inches wide, 20 inches deep and 31 inches high. This is a high-end quality piece dainty from the Victorian renaissance. Shipping starts at $165 for a driveway delivery in our normal New England delivery area.
