SOLD Antique Twin Poster Beds, Pair of Acanthus Carved Empire Style Twin Beds
This wonderful pair of antique twin beds feature solid mahogany, acanthus carved posters, and a dark brown mahogany stain. This pair of antique twin beds date from the 1920s to 1930s era, and I don’t believe I have ever had a matched pair of acanthus carved twin beds in all my years as an antique dealer. These antique twin beds have wonderful quality acanthus carvings on the posts, footboards, headboards, and cross stretchers. They come in with bolt in iron side rails instead of the wooden ones. These are high quality antique twin beds, and the size of the frame would take a 39 inch by 75-inch mattress, which is a modern-day twin-size mattress. The outside dimensions are 42 inches wide. The footboard is 30 inches high to the cross acanthus carve stretcher post and 55 inches high to the top of the footboard carved post. The headboard is 49 inches high to the mahogany shield and 61 inches high to the headboard posts. These are dainty style and detailed. They are dark brown mahogany stained and the grains of the mahogany used is pulled out with the finish. Shipping starts at $325 for a driveway delivery in our normal New England delivery area.
