SOLD Pair of Pineapple Acanthus Carved Twin Size Beds
We are pleased to be offering today this wonderful pair of acanthus carved early style pineapple twin size poster beds that date from the 1920s to 1930s. The beds have bolt on rails that are 2 inches by 3.5 inches solid block to add strength and sturdiness. The beds themselves are solid mahogany with a big cutout mahogany shield on the headboard and the most unusual pineapple posts with the squash top and acanthus carved posts with multi-turnings. The overall size 42 inches wide, 48 inches high to the footboard posts, 48 inches high to the headboard posts, 40 inches high to the shield. They are in the dark reddish brown finish. We have adapted the rails to include the slats to fit a modern day mattress that is 39 by 75 inches. Shipping starts at $285 for a driveway delivery in our normal area which is New England.
