This wonderful tiger sawn oak Morris chair features big claw feet, a reclining back and dates from the 1900s. This is in really good condition, and the finish appears to be original and there is some finish loss on the tops of the arms from normal use. Someone spent a good amount of money having this chair reupholstered, and the fabric choice looks nice against the finish. They used the left-over fabric to make a big square pillow and two small pillows. So, you are getting an extra three items along with the chair. It is all tiger sawn construction and an Art Nouveau type arm support. The front legs flare out and end in a big detail claw foot. The back reclines and will change positions approximately 4 different positions. The only thing I can see wrong with the chair is that the metal rod that was there was missing, and someone replaced it with a wooden dowel that seems to work fine. The overall size is 30 inches wide across the arms, 21 inches wide inside the arms, 29 inches deep, 15.5 inches high to the seat, 25 inches high to the seat and 42 inches high to the top of the chair when in the upright position. Keep in mind the back is adjustable. Shipping starts at $185 for a driveway delivery in our normal New England delivery area. Outside the normal area will incur additional delivery charges.
